The Du Boisson Dance Foundation is a registered charity (1088916) that was founded by the former Rehearsal Director of Rambert, Anna du Boisson. It is committed to attracting the most talented and passionate dancers and performers, irrespective of their ability to pay. It also supports work within the community in the field of dance, training, and the performing arts for adults and children alike.
DBDF supports both the Young Dancers Academy (YDA) and the part-time school, West London School of Dance (WLSDance).
YDA students come from all over the country, many starting their careers at WLSDance. All students at both schools have the opportunity to perform in twice-yearly shows in Westend Theatres and several are currently performing in West End Musicals.

The full-time students at YDA are given full vocational training and first-rate academic education with the school receiving an Outstanding in All Areas from Ofsted in 2013.
Many of the full-time students subsequently fulfill their ambition to become professional classical dancers, going on to train with the world's top ballet schools such as The Royal Ballet School, the English National Ballet School, Elmhurst, and the Central School of Ballet, all of whom recognize the exceptional quality of the training the students have received during their time at YDA and WLSDance.

Full or partial bursaries are available to help those with enthusiasm and potential for children from financially difficult backgrounds, on a means-tested basis. Among the 49 students at YDA, 26 are on partial or full bursaries; that is a significant number of pupils from underprivileged backgrounds.
The Du Boisson Dance Foundation is also committed to its work within the community promoting dance and related performing arts.
The charity is based in Shepherds Bush.
